The Logo now experience talking (yes it feels good to self-compliment!).

1. Use the right colors

Do not exceed three colors, except if you make an effect "rainbow" of colors or shades. Once this concept gained you still have to choose colors that go well together. There are lots of ways to select colors: a cameo (purple, mauve, plum, for example), or two contrasting colors (blue and orange for example). But these are not the only ways to choose colors. Also look at the meaning of the colors.

2. Choose the correct forms

Depending on your business you will have to choose forms that will be consistent. If you sell nutritional products for athletes or for those looking to lose weight, avoid putting a triangle with a tip up, your potential customers will be scared to have this figure by taking your products! Not really, the choice of forms is very important for the message you want to convey.

3. Treat typography

Do not exceed two fonts. Prefer a font if you can, it would be preferable in terms of consistency and continuity of the logo. In all cases you must typography marry well with the rest of your logo but also with the products you sell. If you are in the beauty industry, avoid using a font too "computer".

4. Stay sober

Look for the simplicity and purity to the maximum. Nothing is too complex to make a custom logo design. Readers should immediately understand the meaning of your logo and the message he wants to convey. You can insert a small detail like in the FedEx logo, for example with the arrow that is not visible from the first glance, but keep it simple and logical.

5. Provide variants

The variants are essential to cover all your visual identity, typography planning a version without (the only icon) and a version without pictogram (typography and possibly the baseline only). Your logo should be prepared for all situations and you will be able to communicate with no need to change its size or other.

6. Create a black and white version

For some documents you'll need a black and white version, create it from the start in vector it will be done! If you make your logo by graphic designer it certainly will offer to give you a black and white version for free or for a few euros more, feel free to do so, it could be useful in the future. Think of all the situations in which you might need for your logo.

7. Pay attention to the visibility

Your logo must be visible from near and far. So you should avoid small items and effects "draft". At the features of your logo, you must make sure they are fine enough to not make this large package effect, but thick enough to see it from a distance! Yes you guessed creating a logo is not easy.

8. Align pictogram and typo

Typography and the pictogram must be perfectly tuned. It's a bit like choosing her clothes to go out, you will avoid putting a jogging bottoms with a high costume, well ... I guess and hope! Well there it is like you have to ensure that these two elements go well and they show a certain harmony and cohesion.

9. Creating a Favicon

A favicon is a small image of 32 × 32 px, located next to the URL of the webpage where you are. The favicon is essential for your website and show some professionalism, especially to those computer enthusiasts. Indeed even if many people do not pay attention to this detail, some people, like me, think that is the icing on the cake of a good website.

10. Design a vector logo

ever create your bitmap logo, ie the format (.jpg or .png). Of course you'll need to convert your logo in these formats very practical, but the source file must be in Vector (.ai or .eps). With the vector you can enlarge your logo infinitely without loss of quality because there will be no pixels. Also you can pretty much do everything with like changing colors or effects. But if you are not very comfortable with all that, do not hesitate to call for a high quality logo at a very affordable price.
